Feature Requests
We’re in the process of migrating our previous features requests to this new area of the website. There may be existing requests that are not yet listed below, and we thank you for your patience during the migration.
A version of Piere accessible from the web, designed from the ground up to be experienced on a desktop class screen. Having a widget that could be live on the home screen to view either your net worth, or recent transactions, or even individual account totals would be very useful. Having the ability to do similar to what Mint was doing, where you could enter your home/car information and have that net worth calculated through a separate service like Zillow or Kelly Blue Book. I would like to be able to have my significant other be able to share my account but with their own 2FA. See https://www.reddit.com/r/piere/comments/1c028tj/sharing_user_account_with_spouse/ Budget needs to be based on main category, not dozens of sub categories. It makes no sense to have budgets for 5-6 items each per main category, that is too granular and extremely cumbersome to the point that budgeting is near-useless. If I budget $500 for food, it shouldn't matter if I'm spending on fast […] A feature which shows the upcoming bill amount (i.e., last statement balance) and due date for linked credit accounts. Mint had this very useful feature. Transaction rules should apply to either past, future, or all groups of transactions instead of requiring the rule to be applied to all In mint it used to be that if you had an expense that was not in a designated category it would fall under “everything else” which you could also put a limit to. This was incredibly useful for discretionary expenses that varied widely month to month. The current granular system in Piere is rather painful needing to […] It would be nice to have a main category budget, with which each subcategory can be divided up into. Along those lines, I think it would be nice to have these main categories' budgets have a rule similar to the 50/30/20 rule so that it can be automatically calculated and determined how much each category […] The new iOS APIs for Apple Card allow iOS users to download their Apple Card transactions more often than once per month. Please look into using the new APIs for iOS users. Thank you! The current iOS app on iPad is just in a phone sized window. Could really use a dedicated iPad app with better scaling and layout There needs to be a feature to allow transactions to be automatically hidden from budget if a certain tag is applied (based on user's setting of said tag). This was a very basic feature from Mint even during Mint's early days (i.e. we all have a ton of transactions that shouldn't apply to our budget, […] There should be the ability to set an account as closed and keep the transaction history and zero out the balance of the account. It seems that once an account has closed, the balance is stuck at the last balance and does not update to $0 For example – "toys" falls under the childcare category, which is a mandatory expense in the budget. However, it would be beneficial to be able to categorize "toys" as a discretionary expense instead.
There are several other budget categories that would be nice to move from discretionary to mandatory/vice-versa, so ideally it would be awesome […] Below is a list of institutions we have requested be added by MX. If they are on this list it means MX has been unable to add them at this time, but they are aware they need to be added. Outstanding requests for new institutions: Alight Solutions – MUFG Alight Solutions – Ford Alight Solutions […] I wish there was a way to make a simpler budget. I have previously used the 50/30/20 budgeting method and wish there was a way for me to continue using it on this app Using the credit card transactions, create an opt in way for users to analyze their spending by credit card to see if they are maximizing the points they are earning. Is there a credit card that would help them earn more points? (For example, maybe they are using the Costco Visa card on rent when […] Piere is feature rich and has some pretty good UX. That said, I think it needs a bit of a redesign in terms of styling/fonts/assets/etc. Not only would this make Piere feel more premium (it functions that way!), but it would make it easier and more attractive to market I’ve seen many rule related requests on the feature board. Can we please have the option to disable the Rule prompt when changing a txn category?
It is incredibly annoying to keep discarding that pop up every time. Or worrying about accidentally tapping on “apply to all”. It would be great to filter the Net Worth chart on the growth page by individual account. I’m on Android and use Bitwarden password manager. When Bitwarden is unlocked and I need to login to Piere, I would expect that clicking either on the password field or the username / phone number field would show a button on my keyboard to Auto-Fill the password through Bitwarden, but that’s not currently implemented. UX […] From a user: I would like to have an indicator if there is a tag and what tag a transaction has. I.E. Color-coded dots, so you don’t have to open each transaction. From a user: When I label expenses or income as reimbursement, flag it to map to its income or expense, respectively. For example, I go on a work trip and have a hotel ($100), a meal ($20), and an Uber ride ($30). I label the expenses as reimbursement and I’m triggered to map them to […] On the report tab, we click on the subcategory and it returns all transactions under that category. From there, we can select each transaction and edit it. It would be nice to add the select/edit multiple transaction feature from the transaction tab to the report tab. I just downloaded all my transactions into a CSV file. Column I "Account Name" seems to be the Default Account name provided by the Bank. I am requesting we add a column called Custom Account Name
For example, I have 2 Capital One Savings account. Transactions from both account number Column I shows "360 Performance […] When filtering in the reporting tab I would like the filters to stay when navigating between tabs and back to reporting. Also it would be nice to see the same filter applied to the widget on the home page. For example I would like my reports to show MTD by default always instead of previous […] For some transactions, I prefer to use the main category (eg, “travel”) instead of the granular subcategories. It would be nice to be able to select the main category for a transaction, and also set budget numbers at this level too Examples: Property Tax annual payment, annual subscriptions, annual credit card fee, dental insurance paid once/year
